Well, i'm here. Finally.
It feels like the 'getting here' process was so long and arduous that just being here feels like some huge accomplishment. but I'm here, in a room I share at the lovely MARK centre in Abbotsford, BC with three other girls. Today (which is the first official start of the program even though I got in last night) was a day of many introductions, both to each other, our surroundings and the program itself. To top it off we went to Granville Market to take a look around and just have some fun together, with part of that fun being the realization that the market is closed on Mondays, but like I said, fun none the less. And we read the entire book of Mark today, out loud.
Did I mention that today feels like the longest day ever?
However I am quite excited to find out the three different assignment possibilities, (which are) Ukraine, Germany and the Philippines. I'm so thrilled. And whilst all three countries seem quite 'developed' MBMSI intentionally sends missionaries to countries that are less then 3% Christian, so they know what they are doing.
So anyways, I'm going to be (trying, I promise) to update this thing fairly regularly. Peace out people who read blogs.
